Right from Alexander McQueen’s geometrical sleeves to Giambattista Valli’s combo of ruffled and sheer sleeves for their A/W’18 collections and Ellie Saab’s fringe-detail sleeves, statement sleeves have been the highlight feature on the runway this season. Balloon sleeves, in particular, have been my favorite from the lot. The sleeves are such uber femme and fun – there is something about it that sings sunshine and good times.

I couldn’t wait to play with my SBNY essentials.

Look 1: The Oscar de la Renta‘s sweater with a thickly rolled turtleneck, exaggerated balloon sleeves that puff out at the wrists are such a treat to an eye. For my tall, petite figure, I teamed the top with Rebecca de Ravenel’s Houndstooth printed High Waist Pants that accentuated my figure so beautifully. For the pop of color (reminiscing Parisian summers), I completed the look with Tabitha Simmon’s Powder Blue Booties & Samira Buchi New York Nolan on Sun. Fashion is an art, indeed – that allows my outfits to express each thought!

Look 2: A performance lead brand The Upside has some athleisure-savvy wear that adores my body type. This cropped sweatshirt, in particular, is feminine yet sporty when teamed up with Moda Operandi’s stripe cotton palazzos. Wide leg pants are more American, and I like to merge it with French fashion styles. Throw in a pair of Ann Demeulemeester’s darkly romantic leather booties for the grunge and Samira Buchi New York’s Nolan in Sun for balancing the gracefulness.
